WHO'S WHO AT TEAM COOPER HUNTING

Featuring: Ed Chambers

Ed, for those Team Cooper Hunting Members who don’t know you, can you tell us a little bit about you?
I am Ed Chambers. I am a disabled, retired United States Army Special Forces Veteran, professional Santa Claus, and have been an avid deer hunter for the past 30 years. I also teach gun safety and shooting classes in my spare time. I currently live in Lawrenceville, Georgia with my wife Linda.
Special Forces to Santa, quite a transition.
Yeah, I served as a sniper in Vietnam through Desert Storm and, after my service, I really wanted to give back to the children and thought "well, I'll put this beard to use by playing Santa Claus". I really got serious about it in 2012. I perform at private events, corporate events, day cares, and HOA’s but get the most joy out of putting the suit on for charities like CHOA (Children's Healthcare of Atlanta), Rally Foundation for Children’s Cancer Research, St. Judes, and a vast assortment of church-sponsored children's events. Seeing the joy on kids' faces when Santa shows up is something that I will never get tired of!

That seems like quite a rewarding job that makes a pretty big impact on people's holidays. Speaking of rewarding, what Cooper Hunting products are you using down there in Georgia?
My wife and I have been using Cooper Hunting Blinds for nearly 12 years. As a matter of fact, we still have one of the original blinds we purchased all those years ago! We primarily use the Chameleon+ and Bowmaster+ depending on which season it is. It's really great that the two blinds are so interchangeable and easy to set up. They are so lightweight and versatile. We use them up in the trees as well as on the ground and sometimes even on a tripod. It's even better that the blinds make you virtually invisible so much so that we've had deer walk within 10 yards of us. Couple the blinds with an ozone generator, and the deer don’t even know what hit them!

We have started using the BigTom more and more. It makes a great blind on the days that I have to use my electric scooter. The size hides me sitting on my scooter and has an easy setup/teardown process. The blinds are all lightweight and really nice to have in my kit. Set up only takes me minutes, and I'm ready to hunt.
Glad to hear you're getting some good use out of our blinds, and thanks so much for sharing a bit about your experience. Your service is also greatly appreciated.
It's my pleasure. Thanks for having me!
