Dwayne, for those Team Cooper Hunting Members who don’t know you, can you tell us a little bit about you?
My name is Dwayne “Slang Blade” Spangler, I am a hardcore bow hunter with more than 30 years experience. I own and operate my own 3D Archery Range in Izard County, Arkansas, called Stik Shooters. I am the President of Arkansas Bowhunters Association, USA Archery, and an International Bowhunters Ed Instructor. I co-host and co-produce the Ozark's number one live outdoor radio program, “Outdoors Live 2021 Addition with TomCat, Wanda, and Dwayne,” as well as the “Regional Hunting and Fishing Report.” I am an Arkansas Country Music Association Award Nominee as a part of Under the Influence. I have performed on stage with, or opened for, some of the biggest names in country music.
Biggest names? Anyone we would know?
Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Charlie Daniels, Ray Price, Bellamy Brothers. Any of those sound familiar?

A few of them! You said you are an Arkansas Country Music Association Award Nominee?
Yeah, as a member of Under the Influence. We have been nominated multiple times -- Song of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, Acoustic Duo of the Year, and Group of the Year.
And outdoor radio?
I joined “Outdoors Live 2021” and “The Regional Hunting and Fishing Report” in December of 2019. The shows however have aired for 19 consecutive years on KKountry95, 95.1 FM out of southern Missouri. We have a 60,000 square mile broadcast radius, as well as live streaming online. It has been a lot of fun, and I am really enjoying sharing my outdoor experiences with everyone who tunes in
Let’s get back to hunting. You are a range owner/operator and a huge bow hunter, any special stories?
Owning and operating my own range has given me quite a bit of time to teach, mentor and train others. Of course I have gone out and received my qualifications; International Bowhunters Education Master Instructor, USA Archery Instructor, Scholastic 3-D Archery (S3DA), coach, advanced instructor, former State Coordinator for Arkansas, Arkansas Bowhunters Association president. But, yeah, I have had the ability to teach and train 1000s of others proper techniques and methods while shooting their bows, which has been very rewarding.

You and Dan go back quite a while. What is it about Cooper Hunting that drew you in? Do you have a particular model that you use the most when out hunting?
I am quite honored to be a part of Team Cooper Hunting. I think that their blinds have some of the best versatility on the market. Combine that with their unbeatable customer service and friendly staff, you have a line of products that are bar none the best on the market.
It’s hard for me to say that I have a favorite product. The Bowmaster+
has such versatility, especially with the ground adapter pole, which makes it perfect for taking out impaired children. I also incorporate the Big Tom 3D
when running cameras and need to be able to move a little more. They are both great products, and I’m honored to be with Team Cooper Hunting. As always, NEVER STOP!
